It is with a great deal of excitement and pride that welcome you all to another year at Thompson Elementary! This year marks my 11th opening at Thompson. I have been Principal here since March, 2009. It seems like just yesterday I was the lucky person selected to lead this fine school. Since then, we’ve faced and overcome many challenges, received many accolades, and seen many of our students work hard while here and move on to successful middle school, high school, and college adventures! We are so proud of our students!
This year marks my 22nd year in the Clark County School District. Prior to coming to Las Vegas to teach, I grew up in Washington State. I received my undergraduate degree from Linfield College, in McMinnville, Oregon. I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at UNLV.
Thank you for entrusting my staff and me with your child’s education. At our school, we set the bar high for ourselves as well as our students, and we strive to go above and beyond in order to make each student’s experience here at Thompson one that is filled with large amounts of learning and success. Let’s have a successful 2018-2019 school year!
"...we strive to foster great citizenship in our students so that they can become productive members of our society."
"I believe all students have the potential to be successful at whatever they put their minds to."
Welcome Trojan families! My name is Nicole Noble and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Sandra Thompson Elementary School. I’m looking forward to a fabulous year!
This is my twenty-second year in the Clark County School District. I have worked as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach, and learning strategist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I also have a certification in Administrative Leadership from Sierra Nevada College.
Originally from Orange County, CA I have called Las Vegas home thirty years. I am a proud graduate of Clark High School. I am married with two children, a sixth grader and a fourth grader. As a family, we like to spend time together hiking, kayaking, and hanging out on the baseball field watching my son play ball.
I believe all students have the potential to be successful at whatever they put their minds to. With the combined effort of our dedicated staff and the support of our families, we can foster the love of learning to help our students become life-long learners.
